Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief

Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief are used to reduce inflammation, reduce temperature, and relieve mild to moderate pain associated with the following conditions

• headache
• dental pain
• fever
• period pain
• muscle strain
• head colds
• backache
• flu
• osteoarthritis

They should only be used for short-term management.

Active Ingredient

Each liquid capsule contains 400mg of Ibuprofen as the active ingredient.  Please see product packaging for a full list of other ingredients.  Pack size is 20 capsules.

Who can use Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief

Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and older.

Dose

Take one capsule up to three times daily as required.  Maximum dose is three capsules in 24 hours.  Please consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, or if you need to take the medicine for more than 3 days.

Side Effects and Cautions

Reported side effects include tummy upset such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.  Please see product literature for a full list of possible side effects.  Do not use Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief if you are allergic to any ingredients; if you have cardiovascular disease including high blood pressure; diabetes; heart failure; severe kidney failure; over-active thyroid gland; history of stomach ulcer or bleeding; or closed angle glaucoma.  Caution is required if you have a history of asthma or other breathing disorders.

Pregnancy or Breastfeeding

Do not use this medicine if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.  If you are in the first or second trimesters you should contact your GP or hospital doctor before use.  Nurofen 200mg Rapid Relief are unlikely to affect breast fed infants.

How to Store Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief

Store Nurofen 400mg Rapid Relief below 25ºC and remember to keep all medicine out of sight and reach of children. You should return any unused or date expired medicines to your pharmacist for safe destruction.
