Fortune’s Pharmacy was established on Wexford’s North Main St back in 1947 by pharmacist Michael Fortune. Michael’s son Des took up the baton in the 1970s. In 2004 the pharmacy was taken over by husband and wife team, Ciarán and Yvonne Lynch.
Ciarán is a native of Glenmore in County Kilkenny. He was educated at Good Counsel College, New Ross and at Trinity College Dublin. He holds a Masters Degree in Community Pharmacy from Trinity. Ciarán has 25 years’ experience in delivering pharmacy services in Ireland. When not working he can usually be found helping out with the coaching of GAA teams. His hobbies include reading, bad golf and travel.
Yvonne hails from Rosslare and was schooled locally at Loreto Wexford. She obtained her pharmacy degree from Trinity College Dublin and holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Yvonne has a significant level of clinical experience built up over 25 years of practice. Away from the job, Yvonne’s interests include travel and exercise.
