Description
Nexium Control
Nexium Control is a once daily medicine that provides 24 hour relief of heartburn and acid reflux.
Ingredients
Each tablet or capsule contains 20mg esomeprazole as the active drug. Please see product package leaflet for a full list of other ingredients. Nexium Control contains sucrose.
Who can take
Nexium Control can be taken by persons aged 18 years and over.
Who cannot take
Do not take if you are aged over 55 years and have new or recently changed symptoms. You should not take it if you are taking the medicine nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection) or if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any other product ingredient.
How to take
Take one tablet once daily. Swallow whole with a glass of water and do not break or chew the tablet or capsule.
Possible side effects
Common side effects include nausea and vomiting, headache, and constipation.
The following side effects are rare, or very rare, but can be serious. If you notice any please stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical attention – reddening of the skin with blisters and peeling; wheezing, swollen throat and difficulty breathing or swallowing; yellowing of the skin, dark urine and tiredness.

Storage
Do not store above 30ºC. Store in the original container. Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children and remember to return any unused or date expired medicines to the pharmacy for safe disposal.
